Justin Everett-Church has put together a couple of Yahoo! Map mash-ups that really show the potential of what can be done with mapping data and Flash. His Pirate Map is a fanciful take on run-of-the-mill web maps (I love his idea of turning it into some sort of game. Perhaps he should get together with the folks who created the Google Map mash-up game Brewster Jennings Protects America and see what they can do). And the Green Screen Radar version is pretty nice looking as well.In the end, Justin's point is that these maps can really fit into YOUR site. They don't have to look just like they do on Yahoo!'s site. So get to customizing!

1. Games and real world maps - hmm, I'm thinking a 'stop the tsunami' or 'armageddon' game. Seriously I always wanted to make one of those games which sets up real looking sites and information and requires real internet detective work to figure the clues and stuff - however, it's too complex and time consuming to do, plus I worry about polluting the web with seemingly real yet completely fake content.
