Today is our blog-brother Hack-a-Day's first anniversary and in honor of this grand event (and in hopes that FlashInsider will one day reach the same momentous occasion) I went and found a great Flash related post over there for all to enjoy. Back on November 11, 2004 Hack-a-Day found a way to use GPS via a Mac and make a custom interface. At the time they recommended using Director for the interface, due to its bitmap capabilities, but now I think we could easily change this to use Flash 8. Now you can do almost everything Director can do with bitmaps in Flash, so why not hook up your GPS to Flash today and then head over to Hack-a-Day to celebrate the anniversary.
