Hey, everyone. Just a quick non-Flash post to let you know why no posting lately... Katrina has hit FlashInsider.com. Well, not really, just me and possibly David Robinson. As you may or may not know I am actually from New Orleans, LA and yesterday we were forced to evacuate the city due to the coming storm. My wife and I drove up to Atlanta, GA and are currently crossing our fingers that our apartment will be livable when we are allowed to return. In the mean time I'm a little more concerned about my parents who have ridden out the storm inside the Times Picayune. (this is the only time i'm going to name drop here, ever) My father is the lead environmental report for the Times Picayune and has been reporting live and direct from the heart of the city inside the Times Picayune building. If you are looking for ways to help your fellow Americans along the Gulf coast please give blood and money to the American Red Cross. If you are from the city stay where you are. The city is said to have extensive flooding currently. If you want to see more hurricane coverage check the Times Picayune, Wikipedia and Flickr (of course). This storm is predicted to cause more damage than any in our history. And now back to the Flash fun.

1. Hey guys--you may be interested in www.DisplacedDesigner.com, an effort from the Chopping Block guys to put creative folks displaced by the hurricane in touch with those who can offer temporary space, a desk, etc. so that they can get back to work remotely.
