You may have heard of “Click it of Ticket,” but have you heard of the competing DontClick. It? The DontClick. It Institute for Interactive Research has built a nice Flash-based site that tries to convince users that mouse clicks are unnecessary and can be replace by rollovers, gestures, and timed pauses. The site appears to use the MovieClip.onRollOver() and MovieClip.onRollOut() functions to create an animated environment that requires no mouse clicks, though a listener object is also enabled to look for the possible click.
The site seems to be missing only one thing, a reference to accessible interaction. This doesn’t detract from the argument being made though, because the site is directed at convincing the world that mouse driven interaction does not need to be related to a tap or click.
